What's a Tugley?

Tugley Wood Timberframing is designer/builder Aaron Dennis (often collaborating with other local builders, designers, architects, engineers, and owner/builders) with occasional but superb assistance from his wife ej George in design, administration, and the hefting of heavy pieces of wood.

Located in the Finger Lakes region of New York State, we work in the joinery of timbers into the shapes of houses, barns, cabins, studios, additions, pavilions, playhouses, porches, and more.

Our structures are built with time proven traditional methods using all wooden pegged joinery such as you may have seen in old barns.

Our buildings have ranged from simple and affordable to more contemporary or complex designs.
Aaron especially enjoys incorporating organic elements such as naturally curved timbers, into the buildings.
